Are you a self-motivated individual who has experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment? Are you looking for your next career move? If so, Georgia-Pacific is hiring an Industrial Electrician for our facility in Mt. Jewett, PA and we are interested in learning more about you! An Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing and troubleshooting electrical equipment within the mill to support the long-term quality and production goals of the organization and performs preventative maintenance to ensure electrical equipment reliability.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Installing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and circuits
  • Maintaining, programming and troubleshooting, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting circuits and components on pneumatic systems, control devices, and hydraulic equipment
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics to troubleshoot and install equipment
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
  • Adhering to plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:
  • Two (2) year technical degree or higher in industrial electrical maintenance or electrical engineering OR at least two (2) years of industrial military experience
  • Experience reading electrical schematics/mechanical drawings
  • Experience troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions
  • Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least 12 hours a day
  • Willing and able to wear the necessary Personal Protection equipment (PPE) (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, face shield, chemical suit, respirator, ear plugs, hearing protection, steel-toe boots or safety shoes and other PPE required by specific jobs)
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Experience installing, examining, replacing or repairing Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and motor controllers

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
