Georgia-Pacific is recruiting a Project Manager located in Mt. Jewett PA. The Project Manager will lead our capital improvement projects from launching them to the finished stages. This includes owning project plans, budgets, driving deadlines and working with mill teams and contractors to develop scope, estimates, and justification for projects.

Georgia-Pacific in Mt. Jewett, Pennsylvania manufactures Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF), a popular substitution for hardboard in residential and industrial applications such as for drawer bottoms, cabinet backs, interior wall and ceiling panels, modular partitions, and door skins.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Managing projects and/or leading other internal or external resources through project completion.
  • Accountable for safe implementation of projects and designing new processes up front for safety excellence.
  • Developing project schedules and project execution plans to ensure projects are completed on time and meet cost and performance objectives.
  • Evaluating effectiveness of each capital project and improving capital process.
  • Support mills with safety initiatives
  • Help apply engineering principles to mill repair and optimization activities.
  • Identify and implementing Operations Excellence initiatives.
  • Participate in implementation of manufacturing solutions.
  • Facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis where appropriate.

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Budget management experience
  • 2 or more years experience of project management
  • Experience managingmultipleprojects at one time in variousphases of design & construction
  • Experience developing scopes of work and capital estimates
  • Vendor or Contractor Management experience

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering or Project Management
  • Capital Improvement Project experience
  • Project Management certification
